Great viewing point. You can see whole Lake Kussharo. There is a souvenir shop and restaurant.

Good place to see Kussharo lake and take a break in the service centre. The bad thing is that some walking path were blocked and we couldn’t go higher to see the towns and lake.

Angus Brutus

There is a small display upstairs about a famous film that was shot in the vicinity. There is also a memorial plaque outside dedicated to Misora Hibari, a famous female singer, who sang about the lake. Not much else to see or do when there is a fog, which often seems to be the case around lake Mashu.
